Heather Graham

Heather Joan Graham was born on 29 January, 1970 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA to an FBI agent father and a schoolteacher and author mother, both of whom are devout Catholics. She attended her first elementary school in Virginia, where she still has very fond memories, particularly of the landscape and people. Later, she attended Sumac Elementary School, followed by Lindero Canyon Middle School, and finally, Agoura High School, where she apparently spent some of her worst years.

While studying at Agoura, Heather felt that she didn't know how to talk to people. Boys would have no time for her, and people would tease her for being "flat chested". She was even considered a sort of "theatre geek" by her classmates. Heather says she was never considered part of the 'popular' crowd. Her family life didn't seem very rosy either, as tension was growing between Heather and her pious parents, though her mother would drive her to Hollywood for auditions.
Once Heather began to pick up more acting work and especially now that she is the famous, a certain "weirdness" developed, although Heather is not the only actor in the family. This weirdness has resulted in Heather not speaking to her parents in six years.

Eventually, Heather was more than glad to escape Agoura, although she was voted "Most Talented" by her senior class. However talent alone doesn't often get you far in Hollywood. Heather went from job to job, even working as an usher at the Hollywood Bowl, before landing various small roles over the years in movies such as "License to Drive" and the critically acclaimed "Drugstore Cowboy".

However, Heather soon realised that she couldn't support herself by acting along, so she decide to enrol at the University of California, in Los Angeles. There she majored in English, but after two years, she dropped out to try again at making a name for herself acting.
Her break came in 1990 when she appeared in a comedy "I Love You To Death" and was also cast in David Lynch's television series, "Twin Peaks".
After a few unsuccessful movies, she appeared alongside Will Smith in "Six Degrees of Separation" and in "Mrs Parker and the Vicious Circle", and eventually a movie that would bring her real recognition: "Swingers". Heather's popularity sky-rocketed dramatically with her next roles in "Boogie Nights", "Scream 2" and "Lost in Space".
Heather next appeared in the controversial "Two Girls and a Guy", and in "Bowfinger" with Steve Martin and Eddie Murphy. Her most recent movies have been "Committed" as Joline, "Sidewalks of New York" and "Triangle", all of which were released in 2000.
Graham now has a modelling contract with Emanuel Ungaro. And it has been rumoured that she is engaged to rising Australian star Heath Ledger.
