Mehrdad Asemani is a famous contemporary Persian singer
and song writer. He was born in Tehran, Iran and moved
to the USA in 1992. He has
recorded more than 120 songs of which 50 songs he has
sang himself and the remaining songs for other famous
singers.
In a young age, due to his love for his country and
people, he decided to
join the military where he fought in the Iran - Iraq war
for 27 months. it
was then where he learned how the young Iranian soldiers
are the true heroes.
After serving his country and risking his life for Iran,
he was then accepted
to enter medical school. Because of his high score in
college entry test, he
was accepted into a medical field of his choice. At this
point he decided to
pursue his talent in music. His interest in music rose
at a very young
age. Having a uncle, Farzin who is a famous Persian
singer also encouraged his interest of music.
From a very beginning his ability to play Piano, Taar
and Setaar and compose
music was impressive. He started working on his first
album 1990 (Ssedayeh Khorshid) while he was still living
in Iran. and in 1992 Sedayeh Khorshid was released in
Los Angeles, California. It was soon after that many
other singers noticed his talent in song writing and
used his melodies for their songs. Famous singers like
Shahram
Shabpareh, Sattar, Mahasti, Shohreh , Leila Frouhar,
Shahram Ssolati,
Noushafarin, Mansour, Shiela, and many other artists.
His favorite singers are
Shahram Sshabpareh, Ebi, and Siavash Ghomaishi and his
best friend is
Mekabiz!
Mehrdad now has 6 cds released such: "Ssedayeh Khorshid"
, "Pousteh Shab" ,
"Antique" , "Khatoon" , "Aroosak" , " and the most
recent one "Barge Gol". Barge Gol
broke the record for selling his album in Persian
community. His ultimate wish
is to return to Iran, the country he loves so much! |
